We’re in! The first two weeks have been a whirlwind. The Townhouse has certainly thrown up a few surprises.
We know we need to do some plaster work and we’ve been peeling/hacking/steaming off chipboard and all sorts to get back to the plaster. In the process we’ve discovered these lovely old wallpapers:
The other surprise we’ve had is less positive – the whole house needs rewiring! Excellent.
Trying to find the positives, we’re coupling the plaster work with the electrics and are now busy planning and designing our new kitchen. It’s going to be a busy few months, but I’m looking forward to more comfortable house by Christmas.
